On Tuesday February 15th, 2022, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation, alongside the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) hosted an informational webinar on the CARICOM-Colombia Trade Agreement aimed at determining whether The Bahamas should accede to the Agreement.


This webinar featured a presentation from Mrs. Brickell Pinder, Director of Trade and Industry Unit and her team at the MOEA.

CARICOM-Colombia Trade Agreement - Questions for Business Stakeholders Survey


In 1994, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Government of the Republic of Colombia signed an, Agreement on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Government of the Republic of Colombia with the principal objective of strengthening the trade and economic relations and technical cooperation between the Parties. This trade agreement only covers goods trade for about 300 tariff lines.

The purpose of this survey is to gauge the interest of stakeholders in the joining the Trade Agreement with Colombia. This survey contains ten (10) questions. The responses to this survey will be shared with the Government of The Bahamas.
