On Friday, August 12th Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation (BCCEC) executives held a courtesy call with executives of the Bahamas Development Bank (BDB) during which a potential strategic partnership between the two entities was discussed.
In attendance at the meeting were BCCEC Chairperson Khrystle Rutherford-Ferguson, Treasurer Mr. Don Williams, Mr. Nicholas Higgs Managing Director of the Bahamas Development Bank (BDB), Mr. Dave Munroe, Deputy Managing Director, and Ms. Sumayyah Cargill, Head of Strategic Development.
During the meeting, topics discussed included a potential strategic partnership between the Bahamas Development Bank and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation, trade and investment, along with the BDB’s interest in BCCEC’s advocacy mandate for the business sector.
The Bahamas Development Bank’s primary purpose is to assist in the economic development of The Bahamas by providing financial as well as technical assistance in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, tourism, manufacturing services, and transportation industries.
