Blog Post: BCCEC Welcomes Summer Student 2023

The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation was pleased to participate in the Ministry of Youth’s Summer Employment Program 2023.

Jensen Clarke, who recently attended the University of The Bahamas (UB) with a major in Business Administration and Marketing, joined our team this summer. He plans to study abroad this Fall.

Prior to attending UB, he attended high school at St. John’s College where he had a strong interest in sports.

According to Jensen, his experience at the Chamber of Commerce has been a very eventful one. “I have learned many things that can help me to thrive in the work environment such as proper business etiquette, efficient time management, graphic designing, social media marketing and many more”, he said.

“The Chamber of Commerce has groomed me into being more social professionally as I had to interact with many businesspersons. I also attended several business meetings to get a grasp of what happens behind the scenes of special events that are hosted throughout The Bahamas. I got a hands-on look at how conversations are held for various business transactions. It is safe to say that I enjoyed myself for the summer program and hope to participate in the future,” he further stated.

The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation thank Jensen for his contributions and wish him all the best in his studies and with future goals.
