Chairman of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation (BCCEC) Don Williams congratulated the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) on its general election win and invited the returning government, as well as the new opposition members, to speak to the business community in a forum setting on plans to advance businesses in the country.

Flamingo Bahamas, a Bahamian-built platform connecting local merchants with residents and visitors, is expanding to Nassau through a new partnership with the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation (BCCEC).
The business, launched in Grand Bahama in July 2025, has grown to nearly 200 active subscribers and has helped more than 50 Grand Bahama businesses reach new customers, according to a press statement on the partnership.
The company has facilitated scores of deal redemptions across Abaco, Bimini, Eleuthera, Exuma, and Grand Bahama.

On April 15th, 2026, Don Williams, Chairman of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation (BCCEC), along with Dr. Leo Rolle, Chief Executive Officer, paid a courtesy call to the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB). The Chamber delegation was received by Niekia Horton, CEO and Executive Director.
