  • The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation (BCCEC) is in support of the latest National Insurance Board (NIB) contribution and benefit adjustments, explaining in a statement released on Friday that the continuing changes are necessary to preserve the long-term sustainability of the country’s social security system.

  • The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation (BCCEC) is urging the government to avoid introducing new taxes or increasing existing levies, as businesses continue adjusting to economic and regulatory changes implemented during the Progressive Liberal Party’s first term in office.


    BCCEC Chairman Don Williams said yesterday during an appearance on radio talk show Morning Blend Business on Guardian Radio, that the business community’s immediate priority is stability and predictability within the tax environment.

BCCEC Chairman Don Williams and CEO Dr. Leo Rolle travelled to Lagos, Nigeria, to attend the 3rd Annual Lagos Private Wealth Conference (LPWC), which took place from June 3–4, 2026. The Chamber leadership attended the two-day forum as part of a joint delegation alongside the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB).
