News report on RCI's Royal Beach Club construction on schedule, 50% completion


  • Royal Caribbean International's first Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island is 50% complete and on schedule to open in December 2025, according to Philip Simon, President of Royal Caribbean Bahamas. Speaking at the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Power Brunch, Simon confirmed construction is progressing as planned. He also noted ongoing work with the Bahamian government to finalize a shareholder agreement that will allow Bahamians to acquire a 49% equity share in the project, with an offering expected in the third quarter of this year.

BCCEC Power Brunch Aboard Royal Caribbean Symphony of The Seas Event Recap


On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce hosted a successful Power Brunch aboard the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas. The event gathered Chamber members and the wider business community. Chairman Timothy Ingraham underscored the importance of partnerships, citing Royal Caribbean's sponsorship as a prime example. Philip Simon, President of Royal Caribbean, provided an update on the Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island, confirming it's 50% complete and on track for a December 2025 opening. He also discussed the upcoming shareholder agreement which will allow Bahamians to acquire a 49% equity share in the project, anticipated in the third quarter of this year.


3rd Annual Chamber Classic Golf Tournament Recap


The 3rd Annual Chamber Classic Golf Tournament took place on June 8, 2025, with 48 players enjoying a day of friendly competition. The event was made possible by generous sponsors, including Gold Sponsors Awarak Port Development and Cable Bahamas. Royal Caribbean also contributed a grand prize of a 6-8 night Caribbean cruise. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will support FOAM Bahamas.
