Event: BCCEC & China Seminar - “New Era, New Opportunities - Promoting China-Bahamas Co-operation"

Date: Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Zoom

This year marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and The Bahamas. At the same time, this year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. China has embarked on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way. The 14th Five-Year Plan adopted in March this year has set the scene for China’s post-COVID development. China is taking new measures to expand reform and opening up and this will provide more opportunities for China-Bahamas friendly cooperation.

In this context, the Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation will be co-hosting an online seminar under the theme of “New Era, New Opportunities -- Promoting China-Bahamas Co-operation for mutual benefit”.

Supported by the Bahamas-China Friendship Association and Chinese Enterprises Association of The Bahamas, this seminar will be attended by political dignitaries and leading members of the business, academic, and media communities in this country.

Topics to be discussed:

  1. What is the development prospect of China in the next 5-15 years?

  2. What does China’s development and opening-up policy mean to Bahamian businesses and people?

  3. What are the areas of priority that China and The Bahamas could expand practical co-operation in during and after the pandemic?

  4. How can business communities of the two countries benefit from each other’s development?

Your attendance at the seminar is warmly welcomed. To attend, kindly send your RSVP by Thursday, May 20th, 2021.
