For over 56 years, NUA has been a trusted insurance advisor and advocate for individuals, families and businesses who seek robust and flexible insurance coverage to protect the things they care about.

NUA puts our customers at the centre of our service. We take the time to get to know them, evaluate their unique circumstances, and navigate the complex world of insurance on their behalf. Therefore, NUA will be focused on enhancing the customer experience through innovation – from our product offerings to our digital capabilities and everything in between.

What advice would you offer to someone starting their own small business?

• Do your market research – Make sure there is an interest in or demand for your product.

• Groundwork – Lay the foundation and develop every facet of your plan.

• Location – Find the prime location for your business (and consider the possibility that this might be exclusively online).

• Purchase Insurance – Protect your investment and purchase the insurance that suits your needs.

• Sell Service – ‘Service is key’ in every business. This sells more than paid advertising. You will retain your existing clients as well as obtain new customers through referrals.

• Believe in Yourself – Believe in your dream even if nobody does. There will be many people that will not see or understand your vision and that is ok. Surround yourself with those people who do. Most importantly, never give up. Your success may not happen overnight but trust the process.

We navigate the complex world of insurance on your behalf, to set you up with the protection for what matters most. Whatever your needs – home & property, motor, business, travel, and much more – you can rest easy with us.
