Jeffrey N. Beckles

Born in the historic community of Chippingham, Mr. Beckles began his quest toward excellence at an early age when he adopted a slogan that stuck with him to this day. “Excellence is not just the thing you do, it’s a way of life”.

He received his education at the Nassau Christian Academy, College of the Bahamas, PGA School of Business and the Tennessee Temple University.


He is a twenty-three-year veteran of the tourism hospitality sector; Mr. Beckles has held several senior management positions with major hotel/casino/golf operations in the Bahamas and throughout the region. Bahamas Princes Hotels & Casino, PGA Tour Marketing, Kerzner International, Atlantis Resort & Casino, One and Only Ocean Club., The JACHARIC Group of Companies and the National Sports Authority of the Bahamas.


At the NSA, he led the national charge to position the Bahamas as a primer host destination for world-class sporting and international conference events. Including: the IAAF World Relays, FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Commonwealth Youth Games and the International Civil Aviation Annual Conference.


As a consultant, Mr. Beckles’ diverse background has afforded him many opportunities to work at a national level on the civic side including; HAZMAT and Industrial Safety Councils and with with NEMA as a Coordinator.


Mr. Beckles’ strong commitment to national/international development, focused leadership and success in his career lead to his appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce & Employers Confederation. A role that he cherishes and looks forward to making his contribution toward a better Bahamas.


He strongly believes that the Bahamas is far more resourced than we have behaved and now sits at one of the most compelling crossroads in our history.


On a personal level, he believes that the best contribution a man can make to his country is to invest in family. He is married to Sonia Wallace-Beckles and they have four children and they are very involved in their local church at Christ Community Church.


An avid cyclist and golfer, he loves to be outdoors and spend time with his children and his dogs.
