This OTN and Chamber of Commerce sponsored event aims to assess the practical impact of current trade policy on commercial activity in The Bahamas and has an explicit mandate to produce industry specific recommendations to inform the trade negotiations, which include our recent accession to the terms of the EPA Agreement, the negotiations with the Government of Canada and The Bahamas' accession to the World Trade Organization.
The event is a part of an outreach process aimed at enabling Bahamian firms to maximize the benefits from external trade negotiations. The event promises to be relevant to the both the goods and services sector’s as it will provide the most current trade information, and access to the region’s principle negotiators. We are also anticipating opening remarks by the Financial Secretary, Mr. Ehurd Cunningham on the ‘Government's Role in Maximizing Benefits from Trade Negotiations.’
