Arawak Port Development announces $8 million IPO
At a recent luncheon hosted by the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation, the Arawak Port Development (APD) announced its $8 million Initial Public Offering (IPO) during a recent forum well-attended by shipping stakeholders. This highly-anticipated investment opportunity is set for October, and will be followed by a private placement to be launched upon completion of the new port and its subsidiary facilities.

Chamber, Scotiabank and IIC Launch FINPYME technical assistance
With a continued focus on SME's the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation in colloboration with Scotiabank (Bahamas) Ltd. and the Inter-American Investment Corporation launced the FINPYME program in December of 2010. The recent workshop focused on coporate governance and succession planning is the first group technical assistance training under the program.
