Chamber Divisions

The various Divisions of the Chamber provide an avenue for Chamber Members to become actively engaged in the affairs and activities of the Chamber. Below is a listing of the Chamber Divisions, please free to contact the Chamber should you desire to participate on one or more of the committees. Most of the Divisons meet once a month and a schedule of meetings is available from the Chamber.

DIVISION

FOCUS

Education and Training

This Division is responsible for the Chamber Institute, the HR Help desk and other Education related initiatives of the BCCEC

Business Development

This Divisions coordinates the Marketing, Public Relations, Events and Service offerings of the BCCEC

Employment and Labour

This Division focuses on employment related matters and provides support for the Labour Help Desk

Finance and Fund Raising

All funding matters of the BCCEC is directed by this Division including the Finance and Budget Committee, Audit and Donor funding

Trade and Commerce

All matters relating to trade, locally and internationally, are driven by this Division. Legislation, Trade Missions and Trade Agreements are key focus areas for this Division

SME Division

The focus on Small Business Development is the focus of this divisions inclusive of funding, incubator services and other support services

Organization of Young Professionals

This Division was established to provide a forum for young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 to actively participate in the social and economic development of the Bahamas

Energy and Environment

This Division provide focus on matters related to Energy and the Environment both from a business opportunity perspective as well as Corporate Social Responsibility

Crime and Business Security

Matters relating to Crime and Business Security provides the focal point for this Division
