Global Economic Crime Survey 2011

5/31/2011 12:00:00 AM

In partnership with KRyS Global, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation is launching the first Economic Crime Survey for the Bahamas which is designed to provide us with better insight into the state of economic crime in the Bahamas and highlight any new trends or concerns that we should be aware of. The survey aims to discover just how prevalent each of the areas of economic crime are really becoming, and to determine what extent they impact business.

The Chamber feels that this survey is timely as we are seeing an increase in crime for numerous reasons, the recession being just one of them. We also feel that the survey will provide valuable feedback on the economic impact of crime as we move to shape future programs in our Business Security and Crime Division to help businesses mitigate their potential risk to all types of crime.

The survey is made up of 87 carefully chosen questions that can be broken down into the following categories: 48 Economic Questions, 8 Retail Questions, 8 Internal Fraud Questions, 3 Money Laundering Questions, and 20 Physical/Property Questions. All participants should respond by July 12, 2011 in order for their input to be included in the survey results

We would like to express our sincere gratitude in advance, to those individual members or their representatives who take a few minutes of their time to complete the survey on behalf of their business.
